The Bramley Community Choir – singbramley

CC1_1450 Formed in May 2009, the Bramley Community Choir is new and exciting.  Whilst there are a number of good choirs in the Basingstoke area, we wanted to be a truly community resource and open to anyone over the age of 16 who wants to experience the fun and enjoyment, as well as a great social aspect , that comes from being part of a choral group.

There are no auditions to overcome, just a willingness to become part of the enjoyment and get the ‘buzz’ that good singing can give you.

We believe that singing is something that does help lift your spirits as well as being a great social activity where you can meet and mix with friends in a fun environment.  We are not stuffy, nor will there be any ego’s on display.  This is about enjoying the songs and making music.  If any of you watched the BBC programme “Last Choir Standing”, or more recently “The Choir on BBC 1”,  you would have seen exactly what a great time can be had from joining and singing in a choir.  Well we aim to be ‘standing’ for a good time to come, so why not come along and find out for yourself what we are about and perhaps try and feel the ‘buzz’ that we get.

We do aim to perform concerts each year as nothing beats singing for an audience.  Giving a good performance starts with liking and enjoying the music you are performing.  That’s why we will always have a wide range of material to choose from.  Something for everyone’s taste.

A choir is about friendship, everyone working together and helping each other.  Bramley Community Choir – singbramley truly demonstrates this.  The interaction amongst the members is wonderful and there is always a slow exit once rehearsal are over.  Mind you, they usually do leave enough time for at least one drink after rehearsal…..
