The Wokingham Community Choir – singwokingham

Formed in October 2008, singwokingham – Wokingham Community Choir has established itself at the centre of community singing within Wokingham.  Whilst there are a number of good choirs in the Wokingham area, we wanted to be a truly community resource and open to anyone over the age of 16 who wants to experience the fun and enjoyment, as well as a great social aspect , that comes from being part of a choral group.

There are no auditions to overcome, just a willingness to become part of the enjoyment and get the ‘buzz’ that good singing can give you.

We believe that singing is something that does help lift your spirits as well as being a great social activity where you can meet and mix with friends in a fun environment.  We are not stuffy, nor will there be any ‘ego’s’ on display.  This is about enjoying the songs and making music.

Where and When

If you want to come along to one of our rehearsals, we meet:

Wokingham Community Choir meet every Thursday evenings at 7.30pm in the Methodist Church, Rose Street, Wokingham. Please use the entrance via the main church doors in Rose Street.

We would be pleased to meet you and you can listen, or join in. One thing is for sure, you will be given a warm welcome

Wokingham lies to the South of the M4 between
junctions 10 and 11.
Exit onto the A329 and follow the signs to Wokingham.

From the East, enter Peach Street just beyond All Saints’ Church (on the right) taking up the right hand lane. 
Almost immediately turn right into Cross Street, follow through to Rose Street and turn left. 
The Church is on the left, between Marks and Spencer and the Municipal Car Park.

From the West, carry on through the centre of the town to the compulsory left turn – into Rose Street.
The Church is on the right between the Municipal Car Park and M&S.

Summer Break 2010
