Come and join the choir members, their families and friends at a great evenings entertainment for Red Nose Day. It’s fun, great company and you really will be raising money for a brilliant cause.
The Comic Relief Red Nose day website will give you loads of information on how your money is spent, but I can tell you that in the UK your money helps give shelter to young people living on the streets and protection to those living with domestic abuse. In Africa, your money saves thousands from malaria and provides whole communities with fresh water and life-saving vaccines. You will probably have seen the previous Red Nose TV shows and I am sure you need no more persuading than that for coming along and taking part.
The event takes place on Saturday, 9th March 2013 at the California Ratepayers’ Hall, Finchampstead, Wokingham, RG40 3RL,
7.30pm till 9.30pm.
At singhealthy we try and ensure that joining with us will be an enjoyable experience for you and any guests you bring. The theme will be “Songs of the last 50 Years”and if you want to come in a dress style that you love (could be the 70’s, 60’s, 50’s or even further back than that), then we can create a real party spirit.
Although optional, of course, we are encouraging those coming to wear fancy dress and there will be prizes for best male and best female costume. The song choice will be wide and we know there will be something for everyone to enjoy and exercise their tonsils on. However, if any member has a special request for a certain song then get it to Dorian asap. If members wish to do a mini performance then that would be great and once again prizes are on offer. There will be a ‘chip shop supper’ and soft drinks/punch included in the ticket price but it will be a ‘bring your own’ if you prefer other beverages such as beer or wine etc. As usual Lizzie is preparing a quiz to keep us entertained.
Tickets will be on sale next week [from 5th February] at £8.50 with supper and £5.00 without the supper. We ask that members pre-book their tickets so we have some idea of numbers but guests attending from outside the choir are welcome to pay on the door.
Looking forward to a great fundraising night.
